Food Suggestions

After your procedure, you should follow the hygiene suggestion from the Post Op Care page, which is:

Please follow the 10/10 rule: rinse 10 times per day for 10 days. Make a gallon of salt water using one half cup of salt per gallon of water. Table salt works great for this.

Of course soft foods are a great choice.  Bananas and smoothies go great together.

Here are more choices for a soft foods diet.

Soup, mashed potatoes, cooked vegetables, pasta, most fish and even hamburger if its easy enough for you to eat.  Some breakfast foods like grits and soft scrambled eggs can be great on a soft diet.  To wash it down, tea, juice, soft drinks and even coffee will all work.

Have a sweet tooth?  Try jello, pudding or smoothies.

If your doctor recommends a non-dairy diet, you should definitely avoid uncooked dairy, like the  following:

Milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, sherbert & ice cream

Raw milk products contain live bacteria that can harm new bone grafts and implants.
